MY LIFE ACCORDING TO “HANDBOOK 2010″
I assume by now that you have read what is known as “Handbook 2010″ forwarded by your family or friends via email, Facebook, or any Social Media sites. I have gone though this handbook over and over again, just to make sure that I can fulfill at least some of the points listed. Though I like to live my life as I please, the points mentioned can serve as a reminder so that we can live an even more fulfilling life! Ok, before I sound like Oprah, below is a list of 40 things to do in 2010. I will also bold some of the points that I really, really, really, love and share my thoughts or stories related to the point.
HANDBOOK 2010
Health:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants. (Syaf says… Thanks to my mission to go to the gym, I am eating more veggies now! Pass the salad, please!)
4. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games
7. Read more books than you did in 2009 .
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minute walk daily. And while you walk, smile. (Syaf says… Most probably people will think you as crazy for walking around with a smile, but what the heck? I have nothing to lose!
)
Personality:
11. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. (Syaf says… I am thankful for what I have…!)
12. Don’t have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don’t over do. Keep your limits. (Syaf says…Tired-lah if over do!)
14. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does. (Syaf says… YYYIIPPPEEEE!!!!)
15. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake. (Syaf says… I dream too much! Wanna turn those dreams into reality!)
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
18. Forget issues of the past. Don’t remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don’t hate others. (Syaf says… WILL TRY MY BEST NOT TO HATE ANYONE.)
20. Make peace with your past so it won’t spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you. (Syaf says… I am my own Chief Happiness Officer. CHO!)
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.. (Syaf says…Hahahahaah Hihihihihi huhuhuhuhuhhu!!!)
24. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree… (Syaf says… I am a TIGER and a TAURUS… AND I want to win all the time! During the moment, I want to win the argument but once I am cool, I will just “agree to disagree”
)
Society:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything. (Syaf says… I also learned that when you say “I can forgive, but not forget” , it means you have not really forgive the person!!!!)
28.. Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day. (Syaf says… if you are reading this and smiling… that’s one down, two more person to go! SMILE!!)
30. What other people think of you is none of your business. (Syaf says… It took me a while to realize this but yeah…don’t worry so much about what others think about us! They might be JEALOUS!
)
31. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
Life:
32. Do the right thing! (Syaf says… hopefully, cuz I am only a human being and I make A LOT of mistakes along the way!)
33. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful. (Syaf says… DITTO. Where is the recycle bin?)
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change…
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. (Syaf says… I learned this from my TV days. No matter how crappy you feel, you have to be presentable when you interview people!)
37. The best is yet to come. (Syaf says… I can’t wait!!)
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy. (Syaf says… This reminds me of Leona Lewis’s song!)
Last but not the least:
40. Share this will all your loved ones!!
