Mariah Carey returns with her twelfth studio album following the success of The Emancipation of Mimi and E=Mc2. By now, we’ve heard her lead single “Obsessed” being played over and over again on radio and TV. As I listen to Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel the first time, I do believe that Mariah is offering something different this time around. It’s a different feel compare to her previous two efforts. Well, I just think The Emancipation of Mimi is one of her best all-time album. I feel Mariah is going back to her roots of by providing us with more powerful ballads. Listen to “I want to know what love is” and you’ll understand why. My other favourites include “Standing O” and “It’s a Wrap”. Apart from the 17 tracks, there are four different remixes of “Obsessed”. After listening to “Obsessed” so many times, I guess we can just get enough of M!
